Youth Entrepreneurship Program

“We can transcend the script of a pre-defined story, and pave the way for the future that we design. We just need to tap that power, that conviction, that determination within us. The good news is, we follow people that look like us if the story is told the right way.” - Robert F. Smith, chairman, and CEO of Vista Equity Partners

Entrepreneurship is the driving force of wealth and the fabric of the American economy, however, only 10% of business in the United States are owned by African Americans. This creates a large gap of underrepresentation of successful business owners as examples for our youth. Our entrepreneurship program is poised to change this trend by training Women and educating black young men on the value of being an entrepreneur and growing a business as well as the importance of having great money management skills through our financial literacy program. Previous activities our students have completed include shadowing local entrepreneurs to learn how to start a business and attending financial literacy classes about budgeting, credit, and more.
